What is SageForge, exactly?

A local-first desktop command center for AI coding agents. You bring agents like Claude Code, Codex, or pi; SageForge gives each one an isolated git worktree, restricts which files it can touch, runs your checks, and reviews the result before anything is approved.

Does it write code for me?

No — the agents do that. SageForge orchestrates and reviews their work. Think of it as mission control: it makes unsafe agent work visible and hard to approve, not an autopilot that codes on its own.

Will it commit, push, or merge automatically?

Accepted Answer

Never. You own every Git action. SageForge doesn't auto-commit, auto-push, auto-merge, or delete branches and worktrees — after approval it hands you copy-ready commands and you run them.

Is my code sent to the cloud?

No. SageForge is local-first: no accounts, no cloud sync, no telemetry. Tasks, runs, and context all live in local SQLite and files on your machine.

Free for a single project, $20/month for Pro (unlimited projects, overnight run queue, analytics), and custom pricing for Teams. It's pre-alpha — join the waitlist and Pro members get builds first.

Which platforms are supported?

Windows-first during the alpha (Tauri v2 + WebView2). macOS and Linux builds are in progress. You'll need Git and the agent CLIs you want to launch.
